A wooden guest book sign is signed once and displayed for years, so the only number that matters when you pick a size is how many people will write on it. Our round signs come in four sizes; the capacities below are what we see on signs coming back from real weddings, assuming short signatures with a few words.

Rectangular boards: 16" × 24" for about 45 guests, 21" × 32" for about 90.
When to go one size up
- Your guests write paragraphs. Families who leave long wishes use two or three times the space of a quick "Congrats! – The Millers". If that is your crowd, pick the next size.
- You want space around the names. Signatures look best when they do not crowd the raised lettering. A little breathing room reads as intentional.
- You are inviting 55 with a 50-guest sign. Counts are guides, not limits; but if you are right on the line, the larger sign is the safer choice.
When the smaller size is right
- Couples only, elopements, or a dinner for 20: Small keeps the names large on the sign and still leaves room for every guest.
- Wall space: a 32" sign is a statement piece; measure the wall where it will hang before ordering Extra Large. A wall hanger is included in the box, so the only thing you need is a screw in the wall.
How the size changes the sign
Every size is cut from the same 9 mm Baltic birch with raised letters; the lettering scales with the sign so your names stay readable from across the room. The stand and the "Please Sign" mini sign fit all four sizes.
