A paper guest book goes in a drawer. A wooden sign with your names and 80 handwritten wishes goes on the wall, and people stop to read it. Here is how couples display theirs.
Where it looks best
- Entryway or hallway: the sign by the door becomes the thing every visitor reads first.
- Above a console or shelf: lean it rather than hang it. Leaning works for 18" and 24" signs; larger sizes are safer hung.
- Living room gallery wall: a round sign breaks up a grid of rectangular frames; keep 2–3 inches of space around it.
- Bedroom: above the dresser, at eye level, where the two of you see it every morning.
How to hang it
- A wall hanger is included in the box; if you added the display stand, it ships together with the stand. Fix it to the back, then hang the sign on a screw in a stud or a wall anchor rated for the size of the sign.
- Hang it out of direct sunlight; UV fades stain and marker over the years.
- Kitchens and bathrooms: steam and grease dull the finish, so choose another room.
Keeping the signatures fresh
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth. No sprays, no damp cloths on the signed side.
- If a signature smudged on the day, leave it; it is part of the story, and rubbing spreads paint-pen ink.
Anniversaries
The sign was made with your "Est." year for a reason: on your first anniversary, find the last wish on the board and read it together. Some couples add their own line each year in a corner. There is usually room.
